Legend has it that a barge carrying the first cuttings of these varieties up the Rhone River en route from Croatia to Beaujolais was captured by a group of local bandits near Condrieu. The two varieties have been intertwined there ever since. AROMAS & FLAVOURS Black Doris plum, cracked pepper, spice and vanilla. MOUTHFEEL Dry, firm and opulent with lush, ripe tannins.
