• Drive north on State Highway 1 to Warkworth.
• Turn right at the third set of traffic lights into Sandspit Rd, and follow the curve left into Matakana Rd, following the signs to Matakana / Omaha Beach / Goat Island and Leigh.
• About 3km later you'll drive past the Warkworth Golf Club on the right and then descend the hill to a wonderful aerial view of Ascension Wine Estate.
